As most of you know, I’ve recently co-authored a book with Candace Cameron Bure, and as you can imagine it’s been a crazy, exciting, and blessed experience. One I never dreamed would happen to this little girl on the Canadian Prairies.
What a lot of people don’t know is that Candace and I spent about three years talking about the book, praying over the premise, and finally putting our words down on paper. I was blessed to meet with her on a Caribbean cruise where we exchanged the first draft, but praise God that we both grew as writers into what finally became the final draft published by B&H Publishing.
“Reshaping it All: Motivation for Spiritual and Physical Fitness” is a motivational tool that will get you on track with a healthy lifestyle and keep you there. Unlike the typical “Hollywood” author, Candace’s book is packed with scripture and Biblical application. But don’t fear “Full House” fans, Candace includes plenty of behind-the-scene stories from her childhood years right up to her current role of a wife and a mother of three, including a 15-page full color photo album.
There is so much motivation in “Reshaping it All” that you’ll never need to buy another “diet” book again. In fact you’ll probably want to get a big trash can and throw them all out. But don’t or those authors might cry. đ
My favorite quote from the book would have to be this:
Faith in oneself can bring a man to the
top of a mountain, while faith in God
can move that mountain aside.

Another snippet from the book that really stands out to me is found on page 56:
“It’s been difficult at times to pass on scripts I’ve been offered when I know that other actresses would jump at the chance–to trust beyond a doubt that His plan is better than mine. But that’s when I put the car into park, slide over to the passenger seat, and let God take the wheel. How do I know that His way will be better than mine? Because I trust that since He was faithful to me in the past, He will be that same faithful God in my future.” (Reshaping it All, page 56)
