Today’s Scattered Seeds

I’m always thankful for family, sunshine, good food, friends, happiness, health, a roof over our head, and the list goes on… Dirty laundry not so much–until I’m reminded that these clothes are a gift. The reason I have a pile of laundry is because we are blessed with drawers full of clothes.

I’m not thankful for dirty dishes, until I’m reminded that we have food in the fridge, and much food in our tummies.

I’m not thankful for fingerprints all over the fridge, until I’m reminded that wonderful children live in this home.

I’m not thankful for messy beds to make and sheets to wash, until I’m reminded that we have comfortable beds to sleep in at night.

I’m not thankful for the mess in our living room, until I’m reminded that life happens here.

One look around my home and I’m reminded that life is good, and that all things are worth giving thanks for.

Through the ups and the downs, the clean and the messy, the good and the bad, the better or worse… let us give thanks.

Tilling the Soil

I want to challenge you–as I challenge myself–to refocus. Let’s start looking at things from a better point of view. Let’s take those half-empty glasses, and make them half full.

Planting Hope

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. (Colossians 3:17, KJV)
