I received a letter in the mail the other day from a mom who told me that her son, Francois, was asking for some prayer cards of his own. How could I resist that request? *smile* Hi, Francois!
Since the Christmas season is upon us, I also got to thinking that maybe these printable cards would make good stocking stuffers!
Thank you so much to the facebook group for helping me come up with this list. Each card has a one sentence prayer and a Bible verse on it. Parents may want to help younger children with them as some of the Bible verses could use explaining.
What I’ve done with prayer cards in the past is that I’ve printed them on glossy card stock, hole punched the corner and held them together with a binder ring. It’s a great way to keep them together! I’m hooked on binder rings by the way! LOL
I’ve divided the download into two parts because it’s a huge file. So you need to download one and then the other (6 pages in total).
Please note, if you have trouble with the download it could be one of two reasons:
1. Your computer can’t handle the file size. These are very large files because of the color.
2. The server is busy because so many other people are downloading. If so please wait a few hours or try the next day.

THANK YOU! Wow, what a lot of work you put into these. I am printing these off for our youngest. And I love the fact that they are KJV.

I love these, except I would really like to see some in a more child-friendly translation! I can’t see my 5 yr old really getting “commandeth” and so on…if you make a set in a different translation, I would print them in a heartbeat! (Please e-mail me if you do so I don’t miss it!)

Would also love a NIV version…..Love these!
Samantha says
Love this! Have you considered adding praise/giving glory to God? (Ex. Dear God, I praise you for Your goodness. Dear God, I praise you for your mercy. Dear God, I give you praise for Your faithfulness. Dear God, I praise You for your everlasting kindness. Dear God, thank You for Your unchanging love for me. etc.) Thank you!
Darlene Schacht says
Good idea. It’s thanksgiving in Canada on Monday, so the entire prayer will be one of thanksgiving. But I love the praise cards too!!! A LOT!!

I would love to have prayer cards for my teens….do you have any in the works?
Darlene Schacht says
I don’t, but that’s a great idea. I’ll keep it in mind.

I wanted to thank you for the kids prayer cards. I have seen my children’s (9&11) prayers turn from a memorized nightly prayer to several minutes of heartfelt conversation to God. I would also consider these “prayer starters” for once the kids get going, it reminds them of so much more! Thank you!
Jennie says
I couldn’t find the Pray For Your Children Prayer Cards, do you still have them posted? Thank you!!
Darlene Schacht says
I can’t find the file tonight, but I should have it. Sorry about that. I’ll take a look around in the next couple of days to see if I can find it.
Line says
Hi.
May I use your idea and translate the cards to norwegian to use with the children in our childrens club and/ or childrens camp in the house of prayer, Our kids mostly comes from semi-secular homes and it seems that if any are to teach them to pray it has to be us, leaders in the childrens ministry.
God bless your work. I see that you’ve got lots of good stuff here on your sites and i look foreward to look into it all
Greetings from Line in Norway

Hello! I LOVE the idea of prayer cards, but it seems that the link for them is broken. When I click on the link for both the “Pray for your husband” and “Pray for your children” cards, I am directed back to your home page. Are these cards still available and if so, where can I access them? Thank you so much for your help and time! I am really enjoying your blog!
Darlene Schacht says
Stacy, I’m sorry about that. A while ago, my server was switched over and I lost a bunch of the files. I do have some pray for your marriage ones here:
