When I go to the grocery store with my husband, it always takes longer than I expected it to. Honestly, I think there are just too many choices. Who needs 10 varieties of mustard or 30 different brands of cereal? Things were much easier then our choices were few.

Every minute of the day we’re making choices. When to get up, what to put on, whether or not we want toast with our eggs, and the decisions go on…

The most important decisions we make however are the ones that prompt us to either follow the flesh or walk in the Spirit. Will we give up our right to be angry? Will we lay down our pride for the sake of our marriage? Will we stand up for our faith when no one else will?

Our decisions are endless yet they boil down to one thing: will we follow God’s will or follow our own?

As for me and my house? We’ll be following Him!

Planting Hope

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. (Joshua 24:15, KJV)
