A few weeks ago I introduced you to a new group I started on Facebook called, “Faith-Focused Wives.” Unlike a “page,” a group is private. There’s a different feel to it all together, and I sense a bond that’s building between the women in the group.
There’s conversation going on, there’s encouragement going out, and there are prayers going up. It’s only been a couple of weeks and we’re already seeing good things happen.
This past week, I decided to call two of my favourite marriage bloggers to see what they thought of the idea of teaming up on this project with me. I handpicked these two women in particular knowing that their gifts will be an asset in building this community, and sharpening our faith. They’re both gifted writers and great encouragers who share the same desire that I do, which is to encourage women to put Christ first in their marriage.
One thing that’s important to us is that we want to have a place where we are not just talking to our audience, but talking with you at Faith-Focused Wives.
If you don’t know them already, let me introduce these women to you…
Courtney Joseph has been married to her high school sweetheart for over 16 years and classically educates her son and daughter at home. Courtney is a graduate of the Moody Bible Institute with a degree in Evangelism and Discipleship. After over a decade of leading women’s Bible studies, mentorships and workshops in her local church, she decided to move her ministry on-line at WomenLivingWell.org and WomenLivingWell.TV where she has over 1 million views of her videos on youtube. In addition to blogging, she’s authored a book called, Women Living Well: Finding Joy in God, Your Man, Your Kids, and Your Home, which by the way is a book we’ll be going through this July in our summer book club!
Jennifer Smith is a Christian, a wife and a mother of one. Those are her three most important priorities in life, in that order. In March of 2011, she launched, Unveiled Wife. She started the blog to share with other wives the struggles and the healing she encountered in her first few years of marriage. By God’s grace it has grown into much more than she ever imagined, reaching women from all around the world who have joined together in her Facebook community of almost 200,000 women. She believes that if you want a thriving marriage, you must be intentional about it. Jennifer has also authored the popular book called, Wife After God: Drawing Closer to God and Your Husband.
If you’d like to join our community, visit us on Facebook. Hop on over, click the “Join” button, and one of us will add you to the group.
Today and every Tuesday, I want to invite bloggers to link-up any blog posts that will encourage women to joyfully live out their roles as wives and keepers of their homes I’m looking for posts on marriage, parenting, housekeeping, recipes, etc.
Please note that the opinions expressed by the participants are those of each individual blogger and may not necessarily reflect Time-Warp Wife. Wisdom and discretion is advised. Thank you! Note: If you don’t know how to join in, but would like to share your blog post here too, I have created a step-by-step tutorial to guide you along. Click here for instructions.
