The 5-Day Valentine Challenge

Are you ready for challenge #3? How would you like to enjoy an electronic free night? Can you do it?

If that’s too much to ask, how about taking a 2-3 hour break where you do nothing but hang out together? Maybe you could pull out an old board game and pop a big bowl of popcorn. Michael and I like to do this a lot, especially in the winter time.

Another idea could be taking a nice winter walk hand in hand. Wouldn’t that be nice? Unless it’s absolutely freezing in your neck of the woods, then maybe not so much. *smile*

KISS Bible Study Method Here’s another idea–one of my personal favorites! Why not dig into the Bible together. Choose a book you can finish in one sitting like Esther, Ruth, or Philippians. Take turns reading out loud and then pause at the end of each chapter to discuss your thoughts.

Since it’s Valentine’s week, you might want to use the KISS method of study. I’ve designed especially for couples.

These are the points of discussion:

Key – What was the key message in this chapter?

Interesting – What did you find particularly interesting about it?

Scripture – What scriptures, if any stood out to you? Keep a highlighter on hand for this one.

Speak – How did this chapter speak to you personally? How might you apply it to your life?

A mini discussion after each chapter is a great way to study the Bible together.

If you’re not up for a Bible study, perhaps a long romantic dinner, or hot chocolate by the fireplace.

Whatever it is you choose to do this evening, I pray you will have fun doing it together.

Chime in, what are some ideas you have for an electronic-free evening? Click here to comment.
