A few months ago, I saw a woman at church with a beautiful brooch. Upon taking a closer look at it, I discovered that it was made out of pumpkin seeds. Actually her little girl had made it for her. Since it was so pretty, I’ve kept this idea in mind to share with you in the month of October.
Unfortunately the photo that I took at church wasn’t very clear, so I decided to grab one off of the net to show you. And while I was at it, I picked up a few other “Pumpkin Seed Crafts” to share along it.
These all look pretty easy to me. From what I’ve seen, the pumpkin seeds are dyed with food coloring in most of the tutorials. And for a bolder look (as in the last example) they’re painted. The pin that I saw was natural color sprayed with a gloss topcoat. So beautiful!
I have linked up the photos to the tutorials. Please click through for instructions!

The natural color is beautiful, isn’t it?

Pumpkin Seed Pin – Fireflies and Jellybeans
Note: When you click through this last one, you’ll see that it’s also an ornament. However, the pin is made in the same way, except a felt circle is glued to the back with a brooch pin attached.
I chose this one because it looks like the finished brooch.
