Quieting Your Heart: Gratitude Journal (affil link)
Update: Click here for the introduction to this Bible study and the FREE study guide.
I just wanted to quickly pop in to let you know about our upcoming series. I know some of you have groups to get together and others like to be prepared so I did my best to get on this one early. And guess what? I’m crazy excited about it!!
This fall (October 17-November 12) we’re having a series called, “30-Days of Gratitude.” During the series we’ll be doing two things:
1. Keeping a daily gratitude journal
2. Studying Exodus 1-15 together
We don’t require sign ups, but I do encourage you to subscribe to my blog so you don’t miss a post, and so that you’ll receive the free study guide the moment I post it.
I decided that the Exodus was a perfect fit for the Thanksgiving season because of the song of Moses and Miriam in chapter 15. I love how they celebrated the Exodus together. To me it was a thanksgiving celebration.
For the Exodus study, I’ll provide a printable study guide. I’m still formulating my ideas for the booklet, but will have it out to you as soon as I can.
If you would like to use your own journal for the gratitude portion, you are welcome to do that. I’ll provide you with prompts in the study guide.
If you don’t have a gratitude journal, you might be interested in picking up the journal that Madison and I created specifically for this study. I know a lot of you like to get a head start and order your journal early, so I am posting some links for you here.
Inside this journal you’ll find coloring pages with Bible verses as well as a place to:
- Record things you are thankful for
- Keep a record of fond memories
- Consider ways to express your gratitude
- Journalize what you’re learning in your quiet time
- Record something wonderful that happens each day
- Keep track of your prayer requests and praise reports
- Record a daily prayer

This time around we’ve included extra room to write your daily Bible notes, and an abundance of intricate artwork for those who like to color. In addition to the images I’ve included here, Amazon offers a peek inside the journal.

Looking forward to doing this online bible study and love the looks of the journal and excited about studying Exodus
I enjoy your journal opportunities. They are full of life and exciting pages, that draw one to want to journal their journey with their Lord. Thank you for all the thoughtful and energetic work you put into each of these. One of my favorite books is Exodus, so I am very excited about this next study and making the time to join you.
Fabulous! Gratitude is so hard sometimes, especially in the every day droll of life. Thank you for all you do!
Would love to do this but take care of my disabled husband and work alit of overtime due to I am our only income
The study guide is free and it will be out soon.
Is the journal from Amazon different from the study guide? If so can I purchase a hard copy of the study guide or is it only printable during each blog post?
The study guide is different. It’s more of a reading plan and questions along with gratitude prompts for those who don’t have the gratitude journal. The study guide is a free printable, but not available in print.
I love the idea of doing this study at this time of year….heading into the holidays! Will your information still be available online for awhile? I homeschool my daughter and we will be finishing up a study of Proverbs on Oct 31, so we couldn’t begin this until Nov. 1. The journal looks great and I’m excited to order us both a copy! Thank you!
One question, is this gratitude study suitable for a 12 year old? I was hoping to do this with my daughter. Thank you!
I think it would be good. Filling out everything in the journal could be a bit much for her. I would suggest her keeping a gratitude journal for the 30 days and reading Exodus along with you. The questions I’ll provide would be great for both of you to discuss together. 😀
Do you think I can use your quieting your heart 6 month bible study journal.. I bought it before I knew about the gratitude journal? I figure I can add some of the other comments from the other book on the blank parts? I can’t wait… I needed this… perfect timing in my life. Thank you …
For sure! You could use any one of my journals to go with any one of my Bible studies.
I just received my journal and I’m so excited !!!! I am looking forward to this study
My Gratitude Journal came today, I am excited about the upcoming study!
I am really excited about this…I even have a few ladies who want to join me!
Awesome!
Is there a way to purchase the journal and receive a PDF format to print it at my house? I am currently teaching in China, so I cannot order it on Amazon.
No, sorry. The only way to get the journal is off of Amazon.
Hello, May God be with you over in Canada.
I have shared your last two studies with a friend which has been very stimulating and a blessing.

Robyn

Thank you so much Becky! I’m glad you are joining us. 😀
I was wondering if there is a journal that is just a gratitude journal? I already have something for my bible studies, but I was looking for a gratitude journal. Thanks!
Sure. Here’s a link to one, but it also contains pages to record what you are learning: http://amzn.to/2hbX6c3
