If there’s one thing that’s been on my mind this year, it’s the hope of salvation. Perhaps it’s because this year’s been so crazy, or maybe it’s because I wrote a study on the full armor of God. I’m guessing it’s both.

God has a way of leading us to scripture at just the right time. He prepares me for trials before they arrive. He leads me to study scripture He knows that I’ll need, and I’m thankful for that.

And so, in the midst of this chaotic year, I hold fast to the hope of salvation. I take my eyes off the things that are seen and look to those things that are unseen. I find hope in the promise that He’s preparing a place. I find peace in knowing this world isn’t my home. I find joy in the knowledge that God’s in control. I find rest in the midst of this momentary affliction because I know that I know I’m just passing through.

My home is in Heaven. I’m just traveling through this world. – Billy Graham

Planting Hope

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.. (2 Corinthians 4:18, KJV)
