Today’s Scattered Seeds

Drawn from my archives

There’s a powerful force at work in your life and He’s cheering you on. Every hair on your head is numbered; every breath that you take is accounted for. He knows your thoughts before you speak them, and He understands your heart better than you ever will.

This incredible God who designed the universe, painted the Milky Way, hung the moon, the sun and the stars, created you with intention and purpose.

This world has enough trophy wives, it has enough beauty queens, and it certainly has enough face-tuning filters. What we don’t see enough of are women who model faith and truth through the way that they live. We don’t have enough women like Esther, who treasure the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with being beautiful or absolutely stunning for that matter, but I want to encourage you, friend, to look inward to where true beauty resides. Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance are gems of great beauty and worth. These are the ones worth holding onto.

Tilling the Soil

Read Proverbs 31 today where Solomon describes the inner beauty of a virtuous woman.

Planting Hope

But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. (1 Peter 3:4, KJV)
