Turning to the scriptures, I read Ezekiel 37:1-14, and I know without a shadow of a doubt that God is sovereign. He holds the power of life and death in His hands. Nothing is too difficult for Him.

God gave Ezekiel a vision. He was sent down to a valley full of bones. The Bible refers to them as “dry bones.” In other words, they were way past dead.

Right there and then, God asked Ezekiel, “Can these bones live?”

His answer? “Oh Lord God, thou knowest.”

The vision goes on to show him how they came to life. They rose to their feet. They were an exceeding great army.

I get goosebumps when I read this. And I know that I know our God is a powerful God!

God specializes in miracles. He replaces the stench of death with life. He gives hope where all hope is lost.

Planting Hope

And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, and shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord. (Ezekiel 37:13-14)
