Today’s Scattered Seeds

We’ve all heard, and we’ve probably even said at one time or another, “He made me so angry!” But, is it possible? Or could it be that no one has the power to choose the way that we feel and the way we react?

This mindset has been around since the beginning of time when Adam blamed Eve for his sin, and she in turn blamed the serpent.

As popular as this idea might be, the fact is that no one has the power to control our emotions or cause us to sin. That’s on ourselves.

Sure, we’ll be tempted and tried. We’ll be tested, frustrated, let-down and betrayed, but the way we react to these things has nothing to do with the behavior of others. It’s all dependant on what’s taking place from within.

Whether it’s instantaneous or we have several days to choose our reaction it always comes down to whether we’ll follow God’s will or follow our heart.

If we’re walking with God and we’re immersed in His Word, the Spirit will lead us. It will remind us of those things we have read, and help us to make the right choice. Our job is to choose well and to keep choosing well as we follow His lead.
