The heavens declare the glory of God

Today’s Scattered Seeds

The Heavens Declare the Glory of God – We set up a hammock in the back yard today. Or, perhaps I should say that my son set up the hammock while I stood by and watched. I’ll take credit for lying in the hammock–that much I can do.

I love the spot he chose to set up camp. It’s back a little way from the house in the trees, and yet it’s in a bit of a clearing so you can look up and see the stars and the moon at night. It’s absolutely amazing to gaze at the sky on a clear summer night, in fact, few things if any compare to its beauty.

In Psalm 19, David points out how the heavens declare the glory of God, and how they display His knowledge. His existence couldn’t be announced any louder than it already is through the work of His hands. Through the beauty of creation, to the awe-inspiring depth of the universe, we clearly see the amazing God that He is.

Tilling the Soil

Read Psalm 19:1-6 where we see David marvelling at handiwork of God.

Planting Hope

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. (Romans 1:20, KJV)
