We Listen, He Guides

This devotion in part is drawn from my archives. It’s a few years old now, but still, I hope you enjoy it.

We Listen, He Guides:

She finally did it. Madison got her driver’s license and she’s ready to take on the world.

And so, our days have been filled with patience, with practice, and more practice yet. She’s already a good driver, but as with any beginner, she has a way to go yet.

With eyes fixed on the road, the sound of my voice carries her through. Sometimes we slow down, sometimes we speed up, and other times we come to a complete stop, counting “one, two” before proceeding again.

That’s how life is, for the faithful. The few who humbly let God take the lead. The ones who slow down to listen and value His Word. The ones who are ready and willing to grow.

We listen, He guides. With an ever-watchful eye on our lives, the sound of His voice leads the way. And, as a loving parent teaches their child, so the Lord teaches His.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. (Psalm 32:8, NIV)

Tilling the Soil

Tune out your voice this week as you listen to His. Let go of impatience as you trust in His timing. Let go of frustration and let His plan unfold.

Planting Hope

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. (Psalm 32:8, NIV)
