Today’s Scattered Seeds

Looking up at the sky, you’ll notice that some nights the stars shine bright and other nights they don’t. Some days they’re so obscured by the clouds, that we don’t even notice they’re there.

In a similar way, some days shine brighter than others. It’s easy to label those pleasant days “good” and the stressful ones “bad,” isn’t it? But here’s the thing—God wants us to rejoice through our trials. He sees the big picture. He knows that the trying of our faith works patience, and He sees the beauty in both the good and the bad.

And, maybe they’re not all that bad. Perhaps your blessings are just obscured by the clouds. If you could only look past them, you’d be in awe of their bright-shining beauty and spark.

Don’t let a cloudy day bring you down. Rejoice in your trials. Dig deep to find joy. Look up to the sky and count the blessings you have.

Tilling the Soil

Take time this week to count at least 10 blessings at the end of each day. And, if you’re having a “bad” day, count even more.

Planting Hope

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. (James 1:17, NIV)
