Overcomer Outreach

Many of you know my good friend Janelle Nehrenz from Comfy in the Kitchen. She’s also a frequent blogger here at Time-Warp Wife.

But there’s another side of Janelle that I’d like to introduce you to–she’s currently in her second year at Malone University attaining a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling. Janelle has a heavy heart for women struggling with mental illnesses such as anxiety and depression. She also seeks to help those with difficulties in motherhood and marriage.

Janelle Nehrenz and Darlene Schacht

Janelle and I about three years ago. This was the first night we met in person.

And there’s more… she’s recently gathered a team of writers together to form a ministry known as Overcomer OutreachAll of these writers have overcome adversity in their lives and captured the joy that comes with serving the Lord. And sometimes–well, sometimes they make me cry. In a good way.

This amazing group of women is comprised of licensed professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, Christian life coaches, business owners, published authors, professional speakers, professional bloggers, Bible study leaders, pastor’s wives, moms, wives and more…

Many of them have been through some of the trials you may be struggling with, which is why I’m introducing them to you today.

Here’s the thing–I’m a writer. I’m a Bible reader. And I’m a woman who seeks to serve God in every area of her life. In fact I’m so hungry for the Word of God it gives me goose bumps.

But I’m not a counsellor.

Some days your letters break my heart. I want to speak life and wisdom to you, but I don’t have all the answers.

When Janelle told me about this ministry she was stepping into, I was excited. I thought, this will be a good fit for my readers.

I wouldn’t put my heart in the hands of just anyone, but Janelle I can trust because I’ve seen the compassionate heart that she has and the wisdom that God is equipping her with. She’s a good listener who adheres to scripture with wisdom and truth.

I hope you have time today to pop over and take a look at her site. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as much as I do!

You are loved by an almighty God,

Darlene Schacht
