I just wanted to pop in to say that I hope you are enjoying the holidays and pray that you will continue to do so. I’ve been in much prayer for you all this week. I know that some of you have family that you celebrate with while others are facing these weeks alone. In any case we have an incredible God who is always near. He wants to be in fellowship with each and every one of us. My hope is that we sense His presence, not only during the holidays but throughout the years to follow.

I had a wonderful Christmas morning at home with the kids, and through it all I felt like it was more of a thanksgiving than anything else. I truly felt blessed as I soaked in His many blessings.

We normally host two dinners at our place, but since we’re tearing the house apart for renovations this year we were invited to my nephews house on Christmas day. It was a slower pace than usual as normally I’m running around the house getting food ready and sprucing things up.

Brendan slept over on Christmas Eve as he always does. He’s 22-years-old (Christmas Eve birthday) and still jumps on our bed every Christmas morning. He’s seriously a goof that one!

The kids pitched in on Boxing Day to rip carpets apart and move furniture because we’re getting hardwood floors put in. Isnt’ it beautiful? 🙂

Can’t wait for it to be done! We’ve lived here about nine years and have been waiting for the day we could finally get the floors done. Tomorrow it starts.

Michael’s on vacation and so I won’t be able to blog as much during the next week or so, but I will definitely give you a photo of the finished floors when they’re done.

Also, I have a new housekeeping printable that I’ve been working on, but it’s not quite finished. I’ll have that to you soon as well.

You are loved by an almighty God,

Darlene Schacht
