It was Friday afternoon. I went to my mailbox to find this big envelope with a book inside. I tend to get a lot of books sent to me, but most of them are the usual 200 page paperback books. This one was different. It’s a hardcover coffee-table type book with stunning photography, that reads like a magazine.

I started flipping through the pages and remembered that the author Jessica Rey was the same girl who spoke about modesty a few years back in “The Evolution of the Swimsuit.” You might remember the popular quote, “Modesty isn’t about covering up our bodies because they’re bad, modesty isn’t about hiding ourselves… it’s about revealing our dignity. – Jessica Rey”

As I’m going through this book I see a lot of inspiring quotes, and I get to thinking… this book is perfect for my 17-year-old daughter.

I know you’ll ask the question, Is this book biblically based? My answer to that would be that it’s biblically sound. In other words it reinforces the values that we teach Christian girls about modesty, dating, and self respect. They stress the importance of finding a spouse with the same faith. I didn’t see Bible verses in it, but I found great encouragement and wise teaching.

They remind girls that men and women were created differently. They include quotes from people like Pastor Steven Furtick, and Blogger Matt Walsh.

This post is just a glimpse into this wonderful book. I really enjoyed everything about it, and I know my daughter will too.

So what am I going to do with this amazing book? I’m going to put it on my daughter’s pillow. I know that once she opens the cover, she’ll love it every bit as much as I do!
