The Bible tells us, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
After 32 years of marriage, I see that to be true. There have been tough times, and there has been laughter. We’ve seen death and experienced life. We’ve experienced the strain of unemployment, and the success of a growing business. We’ve shared joy and we’ve shared sorrow.
And with that I’ve also seen how, “He has made everything beautiful in its time.”
A flower doesn’t bloom because I want it to, it blooms according to God’s purpose and design. So it is with the beauty of life, though it be a bud just for now, it will blossom and bloom in due time.

Take a moment today to consider all of the seasons God has brought you through over the years. Give thanks for His great faithfulness as you continue to lean on His wisdom and strength.
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)
