Hello, dear friends. I’d like to invite you to listen to this week’s podcast. Near the end of the podcast I open up about a particular trial our family has been going through. It’s definitely affected my writing here in recent weeks and I’ve only briefly shared bits and pieces. I’ve been going through a season of struggle as I’m sure many of us have since our world has so drastically changed. It’s taking a toll on my nerves, but at the same time, I am learning to trust and to thank God for this time of learning, and trusting, and growth.

Spring is in the air, and with it comes an abundance of life. The winters are harsh here in the North, yet every year without fail green grass returns, flowers bloom, and trees bud. I wonder, do I bear fruit despite the harsh climate around me?

Galatians chapter five dictates what fruit I should bear:

  • Love
  • Joy
  • Peace
  • Longsuffering
  • Kindness
  • Goodness
  • Faithfulness
  • Gentleness
  • Self-control

If creation itself can bear fruit that is meet for the Master, can’t we?

It’s a crying shame when an apple tree produces more fruit in a year than it’s owner, but it doesn’t have to be that way. When we walk with the Lord, and delight in His will, we WILL produce fruit in abundance.

Planting Hope

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. (Psalm 1:3, KJV)
