Scattered Seeds

I once read that we tend to recognize a person’s body language before we recognize their face. We’re defined from a distance by the way we hold our shoulders, tilt our heads, and move our legs. I know this to be true as I can spot my husband from afar off long before I can clearly see his face. I don’t know exactly what it is I recognize, but I’m certain that it’s him.

As children of God, the same should be true of our spiritual language–as actions speak louder than words.

I need to stand out from the crowd, not because of who I am, but because I’m reflecting the person He is. When others see me, I want them to recognize Christ from afar. I want them to see Him in the way that I live, the way that I give, the way that I love, and the way I forgive. I want them to see Him before they see me.

Tilling the Soil

Empty yourself of anything that might be holding you back from serving God. Allow Him to lead in every area of your life.

Planting Hope

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)
