Statement of Faith

What we Believe:
The Doctrine of the Trinity
We believe in one God, who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This unity reflects the depth and mystery of divine love and power.
The Person and Work of Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is both true God and true man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. His death on the cross was a substitutionary sacrifice, offering redemption for all who believe. His resurrection from the dead fulfills the Scriptures, affirming His divine authority and victory over sin and death. As our High Priest, He sits at the right hand of God and will return to establish a kingdom of righteousness and peace.
The Role of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is a divine Person, sent to dwell within, guide, teach, and empower believers. The Spirit also works in the world to reveal sin, righteousness, and judgment, drawing hearts toward truth and salvation.
Scriptural Authority
We hold that the Old and New Testaments, inerrant as originally given, were verbally inspired by God. These Scriptures are a complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of humankind and remain the definitive guide for Christian faith and practice.
Humanity’s Condition and the Need for Salvation
Humankind, created in the image and likeness of God, fell into sin, resulting in both physical and spiritual death. This fall has left all people with a sinful nature, separated from God, and in need of salvation through Jesus Christ alone.
The Gift of Salvation
Salvation is provided solely through Jesus Christ. Those who repent and place their faith in Him are reborn by the Holy Spirit, justified, sanctified, and granted eternal life as adopted children of God. This transformative process reflects God’s incredible grace and love for each individual.
Eternity
We believe that eternity is real, and every person will spend it either with God or separated from Him. According to the Bible, those who trust in Jesus Christ for salvation are given the gift of eternal life (John 3:16). That means we’ll be with the Lord forever—in His presence, free from sin, sorrow, and death (Revelation 21:4).
We also believe that those who reject Christ remain separated from God, and Scripture speaks of this as eternal judgment (2 Thessalonians 1:9; Matthew 25:46). That’s not something we take lightly. It’s why the gospel matters so much—because God’s desire is that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
For the believer, eternity is a promise of hope. It’s not just about a destination—it’s about a relationship that begins now and continues forever. As Paul wrote, “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8).
A Wee Bit More About Me, Darlene Schacht…
I’m a New York Times bestselling author who’s been honored to publish with both Thomas Nelson and Lifeway. I co-authored a book with actress Candace Cameron Bure through Lifeway Publishing, and I’ve had several articles featured on Kirk Cameron’s website.
I’m influenced by writers and Bible teachers like Charles Spurgeon, John Piper, Elisabeth Elliot, Corrie Ten Boom, and Pastor Jon Courson (Calvary Chapel)—all of whom have shaped my faith and teaching. I’ve quoted each of them in my studies.
My goal in writing each study is to encourage women to read the Word and walk in the light they’ve been given.
I understand that there are many denominations under the umbrella of the evangelical community—and even within a single church or small group, there are often differing opinions. With that in mind, I avoid topics that tend to divide.
We’ve seen countless women come to saving faith and many others strengthened in their walk with the Lord. That’s the power of God’s Word. It speaks for itself. I just encourage them to open it. ❤️
