Unwrapping the Transforming Love of God
Ladies, as we step into this new week, I can’t help but think about how often we underestimate just how deeply God’s love changes us. Not just in the big, dramatic moments—but in the everyday, ordinary ones too. The kind of moments we don’t always pause long enough to notice.
You and I both know what it feels like to try to “fix” ourselves. We make plans, we set goals, we try to turn over a new leaf. And when Christmas rolls around, that feeling only seems to grow. We want to be more patient, more joyful, more grateful… and yet somehow, we always fall short. We think, If I could just try a little harder, maybe I could finally get it right.
But here’s the thing—real change doesn’t start with us, it begins with God. His love is the starting point, the turning point, and the sustaining power behind every step of spiritual growth.
For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. – Philippians 2:13, NIV
And, this week, we’re going to look at what that transformation really looks like.
We’ll walk with Nicodemus as he discovers what it means to be born again—how salvation is a work of the Spirit, not a project we tackle on our own.
We’ll talk about how renewing our minds guards us from the noise of this world and helps us anchor our hearts in truth.
We’ll shine a light on the freedom Christ purchased for us—freedom that loosens the chains of shame, guilt, and old patterns we’ve carried far too long.
And we’ll remember that His Spirit is constantly shaping us—teaching us patience, molding our character, and reminding us that who we’re becoming is His work from start to finish.
If you’re anything like me, you can look back on your life and see moments where you thought change would never come… and yet God was quietly at work the entire time. Sometimes He moves quickly. Sometimes He works slowly, almost imperceptibly. But in every season, He’s faithful to complete what He began.
Maybe you’re coming into this week feeling tired. Maybe the holidays aren’t unfolding the way you hoped. Maybe you’re carrying something you haven’t told anyone about. Can I encourage you with this? God’s transforming love reaches right into those places. Into the weakness, the worry, the disappointment, and yes—even the mess.
He steps into those places with you, bringing the strength you don’t have and the peace you’ve been longing for. All He asks you to do is surrender. Slow down, lay the weight of it all at His feet. Let His Word settle into the corners of your heart. Let His Spirit speak to you about what He’s reshaping, what He’s renewing, what He’s inviting you to release.
And friend, He’s not done with you yet.
This is the beauty of Christmas.
This is the gift.
