We all have bad days. I know, because I’ve had them too. I’ve had seasons of darkness and pain. I’ve experienced the sorrow of loss. But in it all and through it all I’m learning to lean on His strength.

Those who trust God are wise to remember that He’s at work in their life. Whether we understand it or not, whether we’re overwhelmed, stressed out, or at the end of our rope, we can always rest in His power.

Every difficult day and every trial we face, is an opportunity to connect with God in ways we might otherwise miss. And when we do trust in God? We open a door to deliverance, mercy, and grace.

Remember the Israelites who were hemmed in with their back against the Red Sea. Remember the Egyptian army with over 600 chariots that were marching toward them. Remember how terrified they were when they cried out to the Lord, but most importantly remember His mighty power and strength. Remember how the Red Sea was divided and how He saved them that day. Remember that He’s the same God we serve.

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14:14, KJV)

How often do I miss those opportunities to simply wait and be still? How often do I put God in a box because I don’t understand?

The sick are made whole, a blind man can see, the dead come to life… and His mercy’s upon me as I’m learning to lean.

Learning to lean
Learning to lean
I’m learning to lean on Jesus
Finding more power than I’ve ever dreamed
I’m learning to lean on Jesus
