I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun I had this past Thursday morning! A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to appear on the Leon Show to chat about my book, Messy Beautiful Love. Thankfully they tape the show in my city so I didn’t have to fly out.
The day started out with my daughter Madison driving. I wasn’t quite ready after curling all of this hair and so I finished up my makeup in the car.
My long-time BFF Sandra (below) met up with us there. Sandra sat in the studio audience and took a few pictures for us. I’ve known Sandra since about grade two. We’re more like sisters than friends. We spent a lot of time together during high school attending youth group and summer camp. We have a zillion fun memories, we text all the time, and we both still love to shop.
Once I arrived at the studio I went into a green room. That was pretty cool. I met Kim who walked me through everything. I absolutely loved her beautiful spirit. They have a hostess there who pours coffee and serves little dainties if you want some. Just off the green room was the makeup area. I stepped in there for a few minutes for a touch up. That was fun. I just needed some powder for the lights.
We sat in the green room for about 20 minutes chatting about what I could expect and what we’d be talking about on the show. Funny thing is–I wasn’t nervous at all. I was more nervous about waking up and getting there on time than anything else.
This is Pastor Leon (below) he’s the host of the show. It really makes for an easy interview when the person in charge is a good speaker.
I made a joke and cracked myself up. You’ll see what I said when I post the video here in about six weeks. They said I’d have a copy in late March to early April.
When it was all over, they asked us to stand for a final photo.

Worshipful Living is hosting a book club for Messy Beautiful Love during the month of February. SO… if you missed the last book club, you just might want to join this time around. The club is going to start on February 2, 2015 and run through February 27th. Each Monday and Thursday, Worshipful Living will cover two of the chapters.
