(Philippians 4:13, NIV) Today’s Marriage Vow – To Dream With You I know that Michael is talented, he’s smart, and he’s a great leader, but does he know that? I wonder how many times a day that voice inside him tells him that he can’t, he won’t, and he never will. I can’t tell you the many times I’ve told myself I can’t write. (Proverbs 15:1, NIV) Today’s Marriage Vow – To Be Gentle and Kind In the same way that a wild horse is trained and brought to submission by a wise and gentle master, we too must learn to bridle and tame our tongue. Whether this one said this, or that one said that, at the end of the day it’s the gentle and quiet spirit that wins the most hearts. So, what is…

(John 17:21, NIV) Today’s Marriage Vow – To Work as a Unified Team In John chapter 17 we read how Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane just hours before his death. As we read through the chapter, you can’t help but see that unity was heavy upon His heart. In fact, in that one chapter alone, He appealed…

(Romans 12:4-5, NIV) Today’s Marriage Vow – To Celebrate Our Differences For the most part, our differences work in our favor. But like anyone else, we have days when they don’t. Days when we’re frustrated because we just don’t agree. Days when we’re so different the puzzle pieces don’t fit. Author Dave Meurer writes, “A…

(Ecclesiastes 11:6, NIV) Today’s Marriage Vow – To Love You Without Expectations I’ve learned a big lesson when it comes to the Lord: His wisdom is far greater than mine. When we truly believe that He takes care of our needs, that He establishes our steps, and that He is powerful enough to change our situation at any given…

About Darlene Schacht

Darlene Schacht and her husband Michael live in Manitoba Canada where the summers are beautiful and the winters are cold. Together they’ve come to learn that relationships aren’t always easy, but that marriage, the way God intended it to be, is a treasure worth fighting for.

She began her publishing journey about twelve years ago when she pioneered one of the first online magazines for Christian women, known at the time as “Christian Women Online Magazine.” After three years, Darlene left CWO to blog as a solo author at Time-Warp Wife Ministries.

It was also during this transition that she worked alongside actress Candace Cameron Bure to write the NYT Best-Selling book, Reshaping it All: Motivation for Spiritual and Physical Fitness. Reshaping it All was the winner of both the 2011 USA Best Book Awards and the 2012 Christian Reading Retailers Choice Awards.

Author of more than 15 books, Darlene continues to write and to minister to her readers through her blog at TimeWarpWife.com.

Kinds Words

“I’m absolutely in awe of your writing, the way you pulled biblical principles and weaved them into life application. I’m amazed at how you were able to expand upon simple words like action, self discipline, motivation, intention, etc.–and write thought provoking information to actually help one change their mind-set and pursue their goals.

The way you weaved my stories into all these principles leaves me speechless.”

– Candace Cameron Bure, Actress, speaker, and NYT Best-Selling Author
