Introduction

Corrie Ten Boom once wrote, “When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don’t throw away the ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer.”

How many times have couples jumped ship? Looking at the divorce rates in Canada and the US, the answer is a disappointing “far too often.” Too many couples have given up before they had a chance to experience what a mature relationship has to offer. Too many couples give up. They part ways before they experience the joy of growing together God’s way.

I’ve been there. I’ve smelled the stench of death in my own marriage. We’ve been to rock bottom where all hope was seemingly lost. But that wasn’t the end—something incredible happened when we surrendered our marriage to God. Winter turned to Spring, Spring turned into Summer, and here we are decades later thanking God for His life-saving grace.

Those who trust God are wise to remember that He’s at work in their life. Whether we understand it or not, whether we’re overwhelmed, stressed out, or at the end of our rope, we can always rest in His power.

Every difficult day and every trial we face, is an opportunity to connect with God in ways we might otherwise miss. And when we do trust in God? We open a door to deliverance, mercy, and grace.

And so, I’m asking, will you give me 21 days? That’s all I’m asking you for—3 weeks, 10 minutes a day, and a gentle heart that’s willing to yield. Give me 21 days to show you what God can do for your marriage. 21 days to remind you that marriage is a gift worth fighting for. 21 days to love on and pray for your husband. 21 days to a life filled with love, joy, and peace. 21 days to a life-long commitment.

How Do You Join?

Option 1. Pick up a copy of “The Ultimate Marriage Vow: 21 Days to a Lifelong Commitment” from Amazon.com and follow along with me here on the blog for 21 days beginning February 14th.
Option 2. For those who can’t afford a copy of the book, the challenge is free as I will be providing you with encouragement, scripture, and challenges each day! Unlike the Bible studies, however, I won’t be offering free chapters. Those who purchase the book will be getting more content.

This book is similar, but different than the eBook I published several years ago. This is a new version with extra chapters and updated content.

This series is designed to guide you toward a deeper appreciation of your marriage and a closer walk with God.

We’ll start on Valentine’s Day by offering our husbands a renewed commitment to love and to cherish them deeply. We’ll put aside 21 days to pray for our husbands. Each day, we’ll focus on one scripture and one challenge. We’ll do some soul searching to find those things we love about our marriage and admire in our spouse.

While I’m offering daily encouragement and challenges, I’ll also be posting weekly videos (each Monday during the series) to check in with you, share scripture and offer further encouragement.
