Esther Chapter 5 – Patiently Waiting on God

Click here to watch this video on Youtube

It seems that each week in our study, we find a new theme that God is leading us toward, weaving it into our hearts and our minds. I’m seeing that again this week, as our theme leans toward patience, a virtue so beautifully exemplified in Esther Chapter 5.

In our video this week, Karissa talked about seasons of waiting, grieving, and loss. She drew parallels between David’s raw emotions in Psalm 13 and our ability to come before God with the same heart. David’s plea, “Don’t take your presence from me,” resonates with many of us. We too can pour our hearts out to God, trusting Him with our deepest fears and emotions.

Let’s dig into Esther Chapter 5, where patience takes center stage. Esther’s careful approach to the king, her thoughtful planning of the feast, and her willingness to wait for the right moment to reveal her request are lessons in patient trust and strategic action.

There’s much to be gained by patiently waiting, as Esther did. In a world that often pushes us to rush and react, Esther’s story is a soothing balm, reminding us of the strength found in quiet confidence and divine timing.

Her courage, paired with patience, becomes an invitation for us, as women, to reflect on our seasons of waiting. Whether we’re grappling with loss, navigating transitions, or seeking guidance in relationships, Esther’s grace-filled patience offers wisdom and encouragement.

Let’s dig into our Bibles as we explore the depth of Esther Chapter 5, finding inspiration in her courage, wisdom, and patient trust. May her story empower us to wait with grace, to pour our hearts out to God, and to embrace the unique roles and seasons He has entrusted to us, knowing that His timing is perfect, and His presence is our strength.

This Week’s Challenge

Consider a situation in your life where you are currently waiting or feeling impatient. It could be a decision, a response, or a change you’re hoping for. This week, intentionally focus on embracing patience and trusting in God’s timing in this area of your life. Remember, just as Esther showed us, God’s plan is perfect, and He is with you in the waiting. May this be a week of growth, trust, and peaceful anticipation as you lean on Him.
