Ladies, is the last day of the study.  I’ve been going at a pretty intense pace for about a year, and so I want to take a little time to finish the book I’m working on as well as work on some hobbies I have started up.

With that said, I won’t be gone too long. I’m thinking maybe a month to take a break and get the next book done. I’ll be in touch as soon as I have a better time frame of completion.

In the meantime, I redid one of our older studies. I added more content, better graphics, and thought provoking questions. I won’t be going through this one with you as I want to focus on the new study, but if you are looking for a study to work on during my break, it will keep you busy.

It’s available for free in the members only section. If you are a subscriber, you can find the link to it at the bottom of the emails you have received.

It’s also available at Amazon. Click here if you would prefer to pick up a copy.

MY CLOSING THOUGHTS ON Ruth Chapter 4

As I was reading over the final chapter of Ruth this week, I noticed something interesting in verse 13. We read, “So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife. When he made love to her, the LORD (Jehovah) enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son.” The use of “Jehovah” here in reference to God grabbed my attention.

We don’t always see it used this way in scripture. For example, in Genesis 30:22, regarding Rachel, it says: “Then God (Elohim) remembered Rachel; he listened to her and enabled her to conceive.” Looking back at the other chapters in this book, it’s interesting to see that in the majority of instances where God is named, “Jehovah” is the chosen description. This tells me that wasn’t just a random choice; it was intentional. Why? Because the use of ‘Jehovah’ is a profound testament to God’s personal nature. It confirms that He is intimately engaged in every aspect of our lives, consistently and faithfully keeping His promises. The name is a declaration of God’s self-existence, eternal presence, and unchanging faithfulness. Throughout the Scriptures, “Jehovah” is linked with God’s covenant-keeping relationship with His people and His commitment to fulfill His promises.

As we transition from the bitterness of sorrow in chapter one to the closing scenes of Ruth, we see the name, “Jehovah,” pointing us back to His ongoing work in their story.

“Jehovah” doesn’t just point to God’s presence; it signals His active, unfolding purpose. The overall story of Ruth and the way that God orchestrated their steps reminds us that Jehovah is always at work in our lives, in ways we cannot foresee.

As we conclude our study on Ruth, let’s remember that the same God who was faithful then will also be faithful to us. He’s the God who fills our emptiness, turns our bitterness into joy, and walks alongside us. And finally remember that our lives, like Naomi and Ruth’s, are never beyond the reach of God’s renewal and grace.
