Times will come, moments, arguments and you will want to look into that box of love bombs and take out a few as reminders of how you and your hubby really feel during times of trial.” Click here to read the rest of the article…

The Best Soft Sugar Cookie Recipe
This recipe is very near and dear to my heart. Ten years ago I was being induced to have our first baby, I decided to make cookies for all the nurses and doctors that God was sending to be part of one of the most special days of my life. I stayed up late that night dreaming of what it was going to be like being a mother…while I made these very cookies. When I took these into the hospital, I was amazed at how much joy they brought the hospital staff ! I felt as though I had a revolving door on my room…I got to meet so many people and had a great…

Easy Triple Berry Cobbler
Just the smell of this delicious dessert will have you drooling! Summer is almost here and I can’t think of a better dessert to make with fresh berries. Using pre-made pie crust makes this a very quick and easy recipe, but still tastes every bit as homemade. Serve this warm with vanilla bean ice cream. Mmmm…. *Being that berries are “in season” this recipe is also a frugal choice! Sugar, flour, butter, vanilla Whisk together into a paste Rinse berries in a colander Stir together gently with a large spoon. On a clean and floured surface, roll out one pre-made pie crust. Slice in equal stripes with a pizza cutter.…

I get asked for the recipe all the time- it’s one of my favorites! Make ham and cheese sandwiches with dinner rolls. Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup from Take Them a Meal
Guest contributor, Adina Bailey from Take Them a Meal Do you take meals to friends when they are recovering from surgery or welcoming a new baby? These are excellent times to encourage a friend, but as I’ve moved toward middle age (gracefully, of course), I have come to realize there are MANY more situations where a meal could be helpful. We recently had to take my six year old daughter, Emmeline, to the emergency room one morning. She has been blessed with health, but she awoke with some symptoms that we had never seen before. Our emergency room visit turned into a day of testing, and we arrived home a…

Wendy’s Ginger Beef Stir-Fry
Last week I made this stir-fry recipe for the very first time. I’ve made other stir frys in the past, but when my friend Wendy told me that it was the best recipe EVER–I had to try it. Once I made it two things happened 1) Michael said it was the best meal I’ve ever made! 2) My kids insisted that we have it weekly, so we’ve decided to start having stir-Fridays. Woo to the hoo! It really is that good! For the most part I stuck to Wendy’s instructions, but I used fast fry steaks instead, I didn’t have steak spice, and I probably cook my veggies a little…

27 Ways to Make Spinach Salad
There are so many ways to make spinach salad–different cheese, different nuts, and different fruit give each salad a unique blend of flavor. My favorite is apples, walnuts, and brie cheese with my homemade raspberry-poppy seed dressing. I tend to think that the taste is amazing because the dressing is so good! I gleaned this idea of “27 Ways to Make Spinach Salad” from my sister Bonnie, but instead of using store bought “Strawberry Vinaigrette Dressing” like she sometimes will, I’ll offer you the best raspberry dressing I’ve tried! But first, let’s look at 27 ways to make spinach salad: I just made this dressing last night, and was reminded…
